Mwingi West constituency is one of the constituencies curved from the former Mwingi South Constituency, together with Mwingi Central in the year 2013. The constituency borders Mwingi Central to the North and Kitui west to the south. It is one of the 8 constituencies in Kitui County.
The constituency is also comprised of 22 administration locations with an estimated population of 109,116 people.
The Member of Parliament is Hon. Charles Ngusya Nguna.
